Hey everyone, this is Anhimal. I can't log onto my account cuz someone changed my name account so I can't get into Anhimal while at work, only at home cuz it stayed logged onto Anhimal.
N E ways, I was thinking about whitewater rafting for my birthday but I want to run by the options with you all first cuz the point is to have fun with my friends.
Here are some choices:
http://www.kernriver.com/rafting.htm#http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oyt-5bS06eIA class 4 should be fun. It's a little pricey but you won't be bored and will have a thrill. I've done a class 3-4 before and we had a blast. Our group consisted of just normal guys in decent shape and a handful of girls. The girls did just fine.
Half Day Upper Kern River (Class 4 river - for adventurous 1st timers and people with previous rafting experience)
Saturday August 14th - $134
Sunday August 15th - $115
A class 2-3 in my opinion is a little tame. It's very affordable and I'll do it if everyone else wants to. The water is relatively calm with a couple fun parts in between. A lot of the girls will gone this weekend so you guys will be free to go out.
2.5 Hour Beginner Run (Class 2-3 river - for everyone, kids, grandparents, Ricky)
Saturday August 21st - $55
Sunday August 22nd - $53
Saturday August 28th: $55
Sunday August 19th: $53
(Closest to my birthday)
Saturday Sept 4th: $55
Sunday Sept 5th: $53
Here is a little bit more info about the class rating:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internatio ... Difficultyhttp://www.whitewatervoyages.com/reference/ratings.htmlClass I - Easy
Waves small, passages clear, no serious obstacles.
Class II - Medium
Rapids of moderate difficulty with passages clear.
Class III - Beginner
Exciting but not difficult. Big runnable waves, swift current with obstacles easy to miss. Fun for everyone - first-timers and veterans alike.

Long rapids, big drops, numerous obstacles. Powerful and precise maneuvering required. Excellent for experienced rafters and adventurous first-timers.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TgzJntxc3iQhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V40o6tnPPZYClass V - Advanced
Maximum intensity whitewater. Extremely long, complicated rapids with very steep gradient requiring strong and precise paddling and expertise in maneuvering. Good physical condition essential. Previous paddle rafting experience strongly recommended.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rftaCZvz908Class VI - Unrunnable
Just like it says - Don't even think about it! - Niagra Falls is a VI - Runnable only in the movies. Luck often considered an important part of a successful negotiation. Risks include injury or loss of life.
What date and which class do you guys wanna run?
