Just obtained my second personal trainers cert... In doing so, I just now realized how much of a joke most personal trainers are and the field in general, really have no knowledge of anything..... Only cool thing about this is that I make a ton of taxless dollars off of the big women for which there are pleanty!

congrats bro. where are you going to be working at? most of the trainers at my gym aren't anywhere near the shape they are trying to get people to be.

I was working at Ballys off of Rosemead, the roach motel gym, but it's now closed. Personal training is a joke if you end up with someone that isn't into fitness themselves and look like shit. At best, if you pick there brains right for a few minutes, you can learn something little that may be all you need to improve on whatever you need.. Also, in a gym, they rush you around for an hour, doing light circuit training, not explaining shit, , why this, or that, ect, you don't even get a work out at all, and you are out about 60bucks!
I'm doing it mostly on the side now, an alternative for those who are afraid to step in the gym, or don't have the money to get a membership, it's alot more lucrative than only getting 20-30% at a gym... The main thing they want you to do at the gym as a trainer is to sell your qouta of supplements! bs

In all honesty, most males that regularly workout, know more than most trainers, although you may not be able to readily explain the y's, do's, and don'ts, they still typically know more..
